User Guide

Get started with the Kedo console: connect knowledge, configure an app, publish the widget, and run daily operations from the inbox.

Guide
Welcome to the Kedo Console

Kedo is a multilingual AI app platform. Follow one simple path — connect knowledge → configure an app → publish the widget → operate from the inbox — and your visitors get 24/7 intelligent answers on your website.

Core flow
Connect knowledge → Configure app → Publish widget → Operate inbox

Use the workspace selector in the header to change workspaces. The language and account controls sit beside it, while the left navigation keeps Dashboard, Apps, Inbox, Knowledge, Install, and Settings within one click.

Quick start: live in three steps

Complete the three steps below in order and your AI app is ready to greet visitors on your site.

Step 1
Connect a knowledge base

On the Knowledge page, upload documents (PDF, Word, Markdown, etc.) or import web pages directly. Content is chunked and indexed automatically as the ground truth for answers.

Step 2
Create and configure an app

On the Apps page, create an app: pick a model, write the prompt, and link the knowledge base from step 1. You can also set the greeting and display language.

Step 3
Publish to your website

On the Install page, copy the embed script and paste it just before the closing body tag of your site. The widget goes live immediately — once the status shows Active, it starts serving visitors.

Configure and operate your app

Each operational page shows both the current state and the next action needed to move toward launch.

Knowledge operations

Upload supported documents or import a web page, then wait for indexing to finish. Organize sources by language and test representative questions before relying on the content in a live app.

App lifecycle

Create the app, choose its knowledge, instructions, model route, greeting, and appearance. Run a test conversation, publish only after the answer quality is acceptable, and republish after important configuration changes.

Channels and installation

Enable public access, use the public link for quick testing, or install the embed code before the closing body tag. Check allowed domains and confirm the installation status becomes Active.

Inbox operations

After launch, your daily work happens in the Inbox.

Conversations

Browse every visitor conversation chronologically, search and filter, take over manually, or review the quality of AI answers at any time.

Knowledge gaps

Questions the AI could not answer are flagged as knowledge gaps. Turn them into documents regularly and your hit rate keeps improving.

Lead capture

Contact details visitors leave during chats are captured as leads, ready to export for sales follow-up.

Visitor context

Open a conversation to review the transcript, visitor identity, notes, assigned app, and status in one place.

Follow-up and resolution

Mark useful prospects as leads, add internal notes, and resolve completed conversations. Keep unanswered or low-confidence questions visible until the knowledge gap is addressed.

Workspace administration

Use Settings to manage people, subscription capacity, and security-sensitive access.

Team and roles

Invite teammates from Settings → Team. Owners control the workspace, Admins can manage members and settings, and Members handle day-to-day content and app conversations within their granted permissions.

Billing and usage

Review the active plan and usage limits under Settings → Usage and billing. Choose Monthly or Yearly, then start Paddle checkout from the required plan card. Provider confirmation can take a short time after checkout.

API keys and security

Create API keys only for trusted integrations, copy each secret when it is shown, and store it in a secret manager. Review workspace access regularly and revoke credentials or memberships that are no longer needed.

Troubleshooting checklist

Check these items before escalating a Console issue.

  • App unavailable: confirm it is published and public access is enabled.
  • Answers missing content: wait until documents finish indexing, then run a retrieval test with a representative question.
  • Conversation missing: verify the visitor used the expected app and workspace, then refresh Inbox and clear active filters.
  • Widget not visible: confirm the complete embed code is installed and the website is included in Allowed Domains.
  • Requests blocked: compare current usage with the plan's daily and monthly limits.
  • Plan not updated after checkout: wait briefly for Paddle webhook confirmation, then reload Billing before retrying payment.
  • Action unavailable: confirm your workspace role permits it or ask the Owner or an Admin.
